The band from Rio Grande do Sul, RAGE IN MY EYES, will enter the studio next Friday, 05/21, to start recording an EP with four new tracks, scheduled for release in the second semester. The recordings will be made at the Black Stork studio, by Thiago Caurio (Keep Them Blind, Astafix), located in the city of Caxias do Sul, in the mountains of Rio Grande do Sul. The first musician to enter the studio is drummer Francis Cassol, who declares: “We have a huge expectation for this material. We are working hard on four songs and they are getting really sensational. We can’t wait to get these songs on the wheel. After recording the album “Ice Cell”, released in 2019, the last work in a new music studio was our tribute to Andre Matos, with the single “I Don’t Want to Say Goodbye”, released last year. It is important to note that the recordings will respect all security protocols, as we are aware of the seriousness of the pandemic.”
In these almost two years between the release of “Ice Cell”, in August 2019, and the upcoming EP, RAGE IN MY EYES was involved in several promotional actions, also aiming at greater visibility abroad. After the album launch show, held at the opening for Iron Maiden in Porto Alegre in October of that year, the band played just one more show before the pandemic broke out. “Everything was going very well for us, with great reviews, interviews and everything. We were even setting up our first European tour for 2020, which unfortunately was not possible. Since then we have continued to participate in virtual events and, with the vaccination going on. , we hope to get out of this as soon as possible to return to the stage. We hope that everyone is well and protecting themselves ”.
In June 2020, when the death of the eternal conductor of Brazilian Heavy Metal Andre Matos completed a year, many bands released beautiful tributes, and it was up to RAGE IN MY EYES to provide one of the most beautiful demonstrations of affection to the vocalist producing a special lyric video for, “I Don’t Want to Say Goodbye”, with the participation of fans, who sent photos with Andre Matos to illustrate the video.
